Auguste-Piccard-Hof

Auguste-Piccard-Hof is a square on the Hönggerberg campus of ETH. And, to be completely honest, I'm not entirely sure that the pictures I have there actually depict it. I have seen at least three different maps that place it in three different exact spots, and the signage there was not exactly clear either; plus, a spot that I suspect would be part of it was actually under heavy works when I went there. Let's say that all in all, I'm 50% confident this is the right place, and 100% confident the right place is within 100m :P

The square is named after Auguste Piccard, a Swiss physicist (affiliated with the Free University of Brussels), who was one of the first two people to enter the stratosphere (in a hydrogen balloon), the inventor of the bathyscaphe, and also the inspiration for Tryphon Tournesol in Tintin (in the English version Cuthbert Calculus). Oh, and Jean-Luc Picard was apparently named after his twin brother.

A lawn between paths, with a few sittings areas - one under sunshades, one under a stone structure, and one under trees.
